Brief Answer:
Cough

Detailed Answer:
Hello. I just read through your question.
Cough is not a side effect of cefdinir. It is likely that she developed a mild virus that causes cough.
I recommend completing the course of cefdinir. Then, see what develops with the virus. If she remains fever free and the cough doesn't get any worse, it will like resolve in about 7 days. If it worsens, or it persists beyond 7 days, she should be examined by your pediatrician.

The same daughter has developed a pimply, light pink, bumpy rash on her back, chest, and legs. It has been there since Saturday.

Detailed Answer:
What you are describing is consistent with a rash causes by a virus. That would help confirm what was said about the cough, that it is viral. Your description is not what is usually seen with an allergic reaction to medication.
A viral rash will last 7-10 days before resolving. Consult with your doctor if it lasts longer.

Detailed Answer:
Appears like a viral rash and not a reaction.
However, if it does last beyond the typical 7-10 day course, I recommend consulting with your doctor.
