Brief Answer:
Hormonal disturbance or infection

Detailed Answer:
Hi dear, I have gone through your question and understand your concerns. Decreased flow during the periods can be due to hormonal disturbances like hypothyroidism or some infection in the uterus like tuberculosis.
I will suggest you to get your thyroid hormone profile done and if normal, then get your menstrual blood tested for tubercular bacteria.
Hope you found the answer helpful. Please do get back for further queries.
Wishing you both good health.
Regards
Dr Deepti Verma
