Question: I am taking implanon a birth control that last for 3 years. Currently I am haveing my period for about 3 months. It is very light but annoying. Is this normal?

I can understand your concern, though.

Your symptoms are most probably a side effect of Implanon.

It is due to the hormonal imbalance cause by Implanon (containing hormone).

It may change your menstrual cycle pattern and causing heavy or light period.

As you are having spotting since last 3 months you should confer with a gynecologist and get yourself examined for the same.
