Brief Answer:
You need to be investigated

Detailed Answer:
Hello, Thank you for posting your question on Healthcaremagic.
The diarrhoea which you have could be due to infection.
Black colour of the stool depicts altered blood which could be seen due to many reasons.
It is a good thing that you have already taken the appointment to see a gastroenterologist.
Meanwhile I would recommend the following please start taking Tab Ciplox TZ twice a day for 5 days.
Tab Pantoprazole 40mg twice a day half an hour before food for 10 days or till you see your gastro.
Hydrate with plenty of water and oral rehydrating solution which is available over the counter.
If you notice any red blood in stool I would suggest you to go to the emergency as soon as possible.
Also please give your stool for routine and culture Hope this helps
Best wishes
