Question: I have a cyst in my right ovary diagnosed 2 years ago ( size was 4.0 cm). Been taking birth control safyràl since then. It shrunk to 2.5cm. I continued taking the birth control however lately I stopped bec every morning when I wake up my arm is numbed and painful. I am guessing that maybe my k+ is high. Last time I went to my other dr he said I have a computer kind of syndrome and that I would only need a brace. But for 3 mons while I was off with safyral, i didnt feel the numbness & pain. Then I started taking the birth control again, numbness & pain came back. The thing is, during the time I wasn't taking it and I also didn't have numbness and pain, I was on leave from work. Didn't use any computer at all. Then when I started taking it again , I am back at work too and my numbness and pain cameback. I don't know I am confuse? What is your recommendation ?

Brief Answer:
Stop use contraceptives

Detailed Answer:
Hi dear and thanks for your query.

As per your history numbness. and other symptoms you have may be due to use of contraceptives or postion at work.

In fact ovarian cyst until 4 cm need to follow every six months to one year with trasvaginal scan.
Hence in my opinion stop use medication.
If the symptoms will disappear after you have stopped medication ,than is clear that are due to medication.
If the symptoms persist and after you will stop medication than you should contact with a neurologist and have a Cervical MRI to see your neck spine, because all symptoms met be due to bad position you have during work.
During this time you take over the counter supplements as Magnesium-B6 2 tablets BID and find some neck exercise.
