What Causes Myeloproliferative Disorder?
Question: Dr. XXXX: I'm Diagnosed XXXXXXX '2017 w/ Myeloproliferative Disorder (Thrombocythemia) ; on Hydroxyurea 500mg qd since.
Recently, 4/14-18, l, had to stop ASA 5 days for a node biopsy Thyroid. 4/21, in ER for Anorexia, T. 102.6 po Labs:
1. Node Biopsy, Neg
2. Blood cultures: Neg
4.PTT elevated
5. RBCs in otherwise WNL urine
6. Significantly 4 elevated liver enzymes
7. See Primary MD this week
8. See any relationship to the Hydroxyurea?
Question to you:
B. From your experience(RX printout I have) what are common SEs of Hydroxyurea? Any articles on myeloproliferative disease?

I read your question and i understand your concern. Myeloproliferative is a group of heterogenous disorders in which thrombocythemia is one of them when you produce too much platelets and feel fatigue, dizziness , pain in peripheries, headache, paresthesias, unsteadiness etc.
Now the hydroxyurea side effects, usually gastric discomfort, nausea, vomiting diarrhea, anemia, decreased urine out put, blood cell lines suppression, renal failure in some cases, skin ulcers, rash have been reported with use of hydroxyurea. These elevated liver enzymes could be the side effect of hydroxyurea as well.
