Question: My 6 year old kid is complaining of stomach ace and having fever of around 100 deg. He has also passed motion 3 times in past 12hours..we have come to a new place,mostly water is not suiting.What medicine my
help?

Thanks for writing to us.
Loose stools and stomach ache with fever associated with travel could be due to food poisoning or travellers diarrhoea.
This will settle in a few days. Don't worry.
I usually prescribe probiotics like saccharomyces for a few days along with oral rehydration solution like electral.
Use only boiled water as far as possible.
Ensure he drinks plenty of liquids to keep him hydrated.
If symptoms worsen it is better to consult local pediatrician to assess dehydration and treat accordingly.
