Question: Hi, I had my last period on 19th march and my next expected period was on 19 th April. However I had bleeding on 15th April which was lighter than my normal period and lasted only for 2days...after that had brown spotting for 3 days..,I can also see green visible veins on my breasts and the upper thigh area...I also have some feeling in the lower right abdomen...please let me know if I am pregnant.? I took a home pregnancy test on 22nd April but was negative...it's really confusing as I had not observed this before..please help! My age is 28 and we are planning for a baby. Please suggest when can I undergo a next pregnancy test Thanks in advance Best regards

Brief Answer: wait for at least a week Detailed Answer: Thanks for writing to healthcare magic. Occasionally cycles can be irregular when timing of pregnancy test becomes difficult. Sometimes you can experience mild bleeding in pregnancy called implantation bleeding in which case pregnancy test becomes positive after 2 weeks. If pregnancy test is negative now you can wait for a week and repeat the test. You can also do a blood test for pregnancy called serum beta hcg where pregnancy can be detected earlier. The symptoms like enlarged veins , lower abdomen pain are non specific and may not always be related to pregnancy. Please wait for at least a week before doing the tests. If still negative then you are not pregnant. Take folic acid tablet daily to improve your chance of conceiving. Please write back if you have any query. Thanks Dr Bhagyashree

Brief Answer: tablet meftalspas for pain Detailed Answer: Dear member, Thanks for writing back. The symptoms of pain may be related to loose stools and diarrhea rather than the delayed period. You can take tablet meftal spas. It will help with the pain and will not effect just incase you are pregnant. The loose stools and pain may be due to mild viral infection. Don't worry it will settle down. Please write back if any further query. Thanks Dr XXXXXXX
