What Causes Itchy Scrotal Area Post Unprotected Oral Sex?

default
Posted on Fri, 27 Feb 2015
Question: Hi Doctor
I had unprotected oral sex + protected sex 1-2 weeks back.
Yesterday I had itch in scrotum + pain at tip of penis + frequent urination. No visble sore/rashes.
Today The pain and itching are gone. I still have frequent urination and lower back ache. Could this be an std ?

My urinalysis came back.
Mucous was present and WBC was in range 0-2.
I am yet to discuss these results with my physician.
What do they mean ?

Brief Answer:
Unlikely to be due to STDs

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thank you for query. I am Dr Bharatesh D Basti answering your query.
Welcome to HCM.
I have gone through the details.

As you had protected intercourse the chances of STDs are nil. But oral sex can transmit some STDs.

The symptoms of penile pain may be due to the act. Frequent urination may be due to anxiety .
Low back ache is not due to STDs.
There are no visible rashes or lesions.
Symptoms are unlikely to be due to STDs.
The urine tests are normal and you need not worry.

Clean the area with warm water twice daily.
Observe for 2-4 weeks for any rash/lesions.
Take precautions next time.
You can get tested for STDs after consultation with your doctor

You can get back for any clarification.
Thank you
