What Causes Foul Odor Around Groin, Abdominal Cramps And Tenderness In Breasts?
Question: hi i am a female. i have had a weird fishy odor down there for about 4 months now it gets worse after sex. i had the copper iud removed in May 2015 and had a ligjt period then XXXXXXX 21st i had a normal period and then i missed my period in july and i had a little bit of neasea but i ended up spotting around july 27th for two days. i got a pregnancy test done august 5th and it came out negative. then around august 18th my nipples started to feel very tender and i started getting cramps on august 20th then august 21st i had spotting again til today ive had really light spotting of bright red blood and when i wipe. i feel tired and wierd but i did another pregnancy test and its negative. i still have the fishy odor that wont go away with washing and thickwhite discharge. im wondering what it could be.

The menstrual irregularity is because of the removal of the IUD.
The periods can be irregular for 2 - 3 months after insertion or removal of the IUD.
The fishy odour can be indicative of an infection - BV ( bacterial vaginosis ).
Do you have any itching / redness / pain or itching during or after intercourse ?
Have you recently changed a sexual partner ?
In any case you should be investigated for the irregular cycles and for the typical fishy odour.
Please consult an OB - GYN.
Go for an internal exam, Pap smear and a pelvic ultrasound scan.
Are you of normal weight ?
Also, please get a vaginal swab and culture done, to rule out infection.
The swab will rule out BV too.
ALso please avoid using any special soap, gel, douche or cleanser to clean yourself, just lukewarm water is the best for cleansing the vagina.
All other products deplete the natural vaginal flora, predisposing to more infection.
