Brief Answer:
Likely to be due to Parotitis

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Welcome to Healthcare-Magic
Greetings of the day

Dear Sir

Let me reassure you that it is not side effect of amoxicillin. Swelling in front of ear and soreness of jaw is likely to be due to Parotitis ( inflammation of salivary gland situated in front of the ear ) . I would suggest you the following

1. Continue taking Amoxicillin

2. Anti inflammatory like Ibuprofen will be helpful

3. Local application of hot water fomentation:
By clean cotton cloth soaked in hot water and applied locally to be are thrice a day

Do get back to me if you need any further assistance ,will be glad to assist you

Take Care
