What Causes Excessively Painful Bright Red Menstruation?

Question: I am worries about my periods, they very very painful and unbelively heavy bright red almost orange blood. I havent had a regular period since i first started, as ive been on Depo Vera contreceptive injection since being 16 to stop the periods.
However now the periods come through the injection, they used to just stop all together. I was reffered to a gynae and he put me on microgynon to trial for 4 months. I have now been taken off that due to having really bad migrains. My body is all over the place and doesnt know whats going on, i dont even know when im due to have a period and when im not.

The reason i went to the doctors in the first place is that my antie on my mums side of the family has endrometrosis and so does my sister. Is there a possibility i have it? Also what can i do. I just want to be normal.

the pain I get is all the way down the bottom of my back into my legs

I understand your concerns about vaiation in periods.

It is possible that you are suffering from endometriosis.

I would like you to get an ultrasound scan to identify if there is endometriosis. If not I would advice you to go back on depo provera till the time you wish to have children and start family. Depo provera will help in controlloing the bleeding as well as pain associated with it.

Sorry I forgot to mention I had an ultra sound scan done and they said everything looks fine apart from a tiny fibroid but it is not large enough to cause that much pain.
I am worried that if I go back onto the depot then I am never giving my body a break and its up and down. Am I damaging it by doing so?
Do I need to have a break from contraception all together or is it fine for me to be on depo until I have children? My period comes straight back as soon as I stop so there is no delay on waiting for my fertility to come back.

The Gynae has also said he would be willing to take a look into my womb through my belly button with a small camera if I really couldn't put my mind at rest but he is reluctant due to my age being 19 and apparently it can cause more problems? but all I want to know is if I can have children or not so if I can't I can start saving money for IVF as its expensive.

Thanks for additional information.

Depot injections are best fo you. There is no need of giving break to body as it is not necessary to give such breaks.

You can be on contraception till the time you want to have children. There is no need of break.

It is good to know you are fertile as soon you stop depo.

There is no need to get laparoscopy( seeing through belly button) so soon at this age. I suggest you try to have children soon if you find a suitable patner. DOnt delay child bearing. You have good chances of natural pegnancy and no need to go for IVF.

Thank you for all your advice, it's is defiantly putting my mind at rest. Questions that you want to ask the doctor but always forget or are too embarrassed.

Also I have really decreased sex drive on both the pill and depo, what would you suggest?

Please can you give me a second opinion on the following:

I have almost like skin tags around the opening of my vagina, they cover the hole and when I self examine with legs open I front of the mirror and I push they move. I have a partner and we have no problems with sex, I have also noticed lumps at the back of my throat and floor of my mouth I'm not sure if they are connected.

Ive attached a photo of my mouth for you to have a look at, after researching my self i did think they were hymenal tags however ive only had them for the past 6 months and i thought you had them from the first time you had sex

If it is coming repeatedly you need to get examined by doctor.

Yes ive been told previously that its my englarged pappliee? They are like that constantly, i also have extra skin and bumps underneathe my tounge i will also attach photos. My biggest worry here is that these two are connected and im ever so worried i have genital warts

Tongue papillae are large slightly but also I see lymph node enlargement.
