Brief Answer:
This is called orthostasis

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

The Dix hallpike maneuver works if you have rotational vertigo when your laying
flat and turning your head.

If your problem is going from laying/sitting to standing then you have a condition called orthostasis. there are many causes but the treatments are the same. The first begin with
confirming the diagnosis which is done by checking blood pressure while
laying down and then standing.

If your blood pressure drops and you feel dizzy this is a positive test. the initial conservative treatment are compression sticking to return loos flow to your heart. When you get dizzy try doing toe raises to return blood to your heart. this might give you some temporary relief.

Hope this helps
