Brief Answer: repeat pregnancy test.wait for periods Detailed Answer: Dear XXXXXXX Thanks for writing to healthcare magic. As the morning after pill is high dose hormone medication it may cause irregular periods. The initial spotting which happened after 4 days was due to the same hormone withdrawal. If urine pregnancy test after 1 month is negative then she is not pregnant provided there has been no further sexual activity. She can repeat the urine pregnancy test now. If negative then no need to worry as she is not pregnant. The spotting which is occurring now may lead to a proper period with normal flow. So the best approach is to do a urine pregnancy test now and if negative wait for spontaneous period . I hope I have answered your query. If any further doubts please write back. Thanks Dr Bhagyashree
