Brief Answer:
MISCARRIAGE IS THE MOST LIKELY EXPLANATION

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for writing to us with your health concern.
Please relax.
The most possible explanation is that you had a miscarriage.
You were pregnant, but it miscarried.
That is why you had a faintly positive test which turned negative.
Also, the late bleeding after your expected date of period tallies with that.
The endometrium is thick, which also supports that.
Corpus luteum is normally formed in pregnancy.
It is not dangerous, as you have now aborted, the cyst will get absorbed on its own within 1 -2 months.
Your left ovary will be perfectly normal and functional then.
So do not worry.
Take care.
Please feel free to discuss further.

Brief Answer:
WHEN WAS THE SCAN DONE ?

Detailed Answer:
Duphaston is not harmful at all.
Also, as early as a day after a missed period, pregnancy test would be positive, scanning is best done 2 weeks after missed period.
To confirm the diagnosis of a missed period, a blood pregnancy test should be done, along with a scan.
You had typed in an ultrasound scan report, when was it done , I thought it was done recently , after your bleeding started ?
Take care

Hello Doctor,
Thank you for your reply.

I had my scanning done on 11th August, 2014. My periods was supposed to be on 8th August, 2014. But it did not happen. So, i had my pregnancy test done on the next day i.e on 9th and the test showed two lines, one dark line and one very very faint pink line. After two days that is on 11th August the test was again done but this time one one line was seen .same day my tvs was done and A corpus Lutium cyst was seen in my left ovary whose walls were thicker than my para ovarian cyst. I had my periods on 14th August. As told by my doctor, my para ovarian cyst is a FIMBRIAN Cyst. Doctor, will one side of my tube be blocked? My doctor told me to go for a surgery after my delivery.many women bleed during pregnancy. Can i still go for pregnancy test? Or how will i know whether i had a miscarriage or not

Brief Answer:
TAKE BLOOD B HCG TEST.

Detailed Answer:
See from your history and the ultrasound findings, it is clear that there was most probably a miscarriage.
Confirmation would be by sending the blood and blood products ( clots ) for biopsy to check for fetal tissue in that.
Alternatively, try getting a blood test done, for pregnancy - blood B HCG test.
If the para ovarian cyst is removed, chances are that the tube will still remain patent.
Only during the surgery, depending on the findings of the cyst and the tube, can a final decision be taken.
You can go for blood B HCG test I think to confirm.
Take care.
