Question: I have burning sensation in my penis post urination and a odd biting sensation at random times. PSA score is within normal range & DRE revealed an enlarged prostate but nothing else significant. I received a regimen of antibiotics over a 10 day period that knocked out the symptoms but not long after the dosage was completed they returned. Can you help

Brief Answer:
Urethritis

Detailed Answer:
Hi there,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
I am Dr.Barani and I am pleased to assist you.

You have symptoms of urethritis.
If urinalysis was not done before, you can get it done now.

You may require another course of antibiotics based on the urinalysis result.
The test will show what organism is causing the symptom and to which antibiotic it is sensitive.

I hope that answers your query.
Let me know if you have any more questions.

Regards,
Dr.Barani
