Dear Ms XXXXXXX

As you are in the perimenopausal age group , the symptoms you are experiencing is likely to be hot flushes you are experiencing due to decline in Oestrogen level.
Tiredness could also be contributed by Hypothyroidism.

1. How long have the symptoms been present?
2. Are your menstrual cycles regular? any relation of symptoms to menstrual cycle
3. When was your last menstrual period?

Symptoms started about two days ago. I don't have menstrual cycles because I had a hysterectomy back in February. I still have both ovaries because there wasn't anything wrong with them and they both are fully working properly. I am on Lisinopril for blood pressure and Synthroid 100mg for thyroid problem. I have been on medication for both for about 5 years. I ran fever during the night last night. It's like every joint hurts. I also have a headache.

Brief Answer:
Likely to be Non specific Viral infection

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Dear XXXXXXX

The symptoms you are having are likely to be prodromal viral fever. In the absence of skin rash and respiratory symptoms there is no cause for concern.

I would suggest you the following which will definitely help
1. Warm fluids like Soups
2. Analgesic: Ibuprofen 800 mg twice a day will give you the much needed relief.
3. Combination of Pantoprozole and Domperidone will be helpful for nausea and vomiting
4. Ensure adequate bed rest.

Do let me know the progress.

Wish you quick recovery.

Take care

Best Regards
Dr T Shobha Deepak
