What Causes Abdominal Cramps During Ovulation?

Question: I am a 54 year old woman and still have my period. for the past 4 months the ovarian pain mid cycle is pretty painful. i'm wondering if this is typical for someone my age or should I have it checked out. Years ago I had an ovarian cyst, also endometriosis
