What Are The Side Effects Of Detrol LA?

default
Posted on Tue, 12 Jul 2016
Question: I had a seizure 2 weeks ago, and went to the Hospital. The doctor in ER said that one of my meds has a side effect of seizures. Have you heard of Detrol LA having that side effect? It was a horrible experience for me and my whole family.

Brief Answer:
this is true

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

it is true that tolterodine (the active substance of detrol) may cause convulsions. It is a rare side effect and has been revealed after it's been released (post-marketing experience). The drug may be blamed only after excluding other causes. A normal CT scan is required.

Kind Regards!
Brief Answer:
You're welcome!

Detailed Answer:
You're welcome! And thanks! It does apply, although I thought it was next Sunday.

Kind Regards!

Thank you so much for your answer. I did have a normal CT scan while in the hospital. I will be going to a Neurologist for an evaluation next Thursday. I am sure he will followup on all the tests that I have received. Again, thank you very much. Happy Father's Day if it applies, and if not, have a wonderful day anyway.
