Suggest Alternate Over The Counter Medication For Oxybutynin

Question: Is there an alternative medication for incontinence other than oxybutynin? I read oxybutynin may be associated with the development of dementia, so I don't want to take it anymore. I am 73 years old. No dementia now.

Oxybutinin may increase the risk of Alzheimer's in elderly. But no strong evidences are there to suggest the relation between oxybutinin and dementia.
You can go for alternatives for oxybutinin. you can consult your treating urologist and discuss about the alternatives. Commonly used drugs are tolterodine, dariofenacin, and trospium.
trospium is my personal choice as it is more effective than oxybutinin and side effecfts are very minimal.
