Suggest Ways To Delay Or Pre Pone Periods When Suffering From Irregular Periods

Question: Hi Doctor, I have irregular periods and my last period was in october 30th 2014. My wedding is on Dec 7th 2014 and not sure if I get my periods this month i.e November 2014. Can you please suggest how can I delay or prepone my periods if possible.

You can postpone your period.

Hi,

Thanks for writing to us about it.

I can understand your concern, though.

You can postpone your period that is a better choice rather than prepone your menses.

You can use progesterone pills (prescription drug) for the postponement of your menses 2-3 days before your expected period date after consulting your treating doctor.

Continue till the date your marriage ceremony is over.

After stopping the drug your period will resume within 2-3 days.
