Suggest Treatment For Stomach Pain, Nausea And Constipation
Question: I have been suffering with debilitating stomach pains, nausia, constipation and feeling very ill for over 12 months and although I have had a consultation with consultants, and they prescribed medication, the results have been negative.
I am at my wits end with my condition and have little confidence in further consultations with my previous consultants. Do you have any suggestions???

I can understand the plight you must be going through as you are suffering for over 12 months and no diagnosis and no results.
To recapitulate: Female/78 - stomach pains - nausea - constipation and feeling very ill - over 12 months - no results after consultation with many consultants and medications like Omeprazole, Mebeverine - undergone investigations MRI/Scan/Endo/Blood tests - Endo showed mild inflammation of the bile duct - condition still exists and worsening.
Please give additional information:
- Any other symptoms like vomiting, bloating?
- Any pain referred to the back or any other area?
- Whether the stomach pain pointed to a particular area or generalized all over abdomen?
- Type of pain : Burning, cutting, twisting, dull aching, spasmodic?
- Any relation to the intake of food or beverages?
- Any other medical condition like diabetes, thyroid problem ?
- Loss of weight/appetite?
- Any other information that you would like to share that can add to my knowledge in helping to get a diagnosis? May be stress/anxiety?
My thoughts and advise: Since you have already undergone some tests.
- Stool examination for three consecutive days.
