Suggest Treatment For Redness, Swelling And Burning Sensation In Labia Region
Question: Four days ago I cut myself with a slightly rusted razor on my labia majora. It bled a little bit for about a day. I used antibacterial neosproin on the cut. At the same time I was also on minocycline for acne. Since that day I have become red and swollen in my labia region. It burns as well. I thought it was most likely a yeast infection due to taking the mino and I tested it with an over the counter test kit that indicated that it was. There is very little to no discharge. I do not like the OTC yeast infection kits (due to a previous incident that caused burning and irritation) and so I've used vagisil creme, apple cider vinegar sitz bath and yogurt applied to my labia minor. The burning in the region has continued and even woke me up tonight. I do not have a fever but have experienced minor abdominal cramping (not sure if it's related - all these things happened at the same time). I am in a monogamous relationship and we did have sexual intercourse the day of the razor cut.

While you have been on minocyclin treatment and you have burning sensation and irritation it seem to be a yeast infection .
Please tell me , is this the first time you have had these symptoms ?!
Treatment of yeast infection on your case should be start with vaginal ovules and oral treatment and it should be prescribed from a doctor .
Try to take probiotics ,much more fluids and rich foods with vit C .
If the swollen is only on the part of razor cut than it is related with bacterial infection.
You should continue with Sitz baths adding betadine and take over the counter creams containing corticosteroids .
If these symptoms will aggravate or consist for more days ,than contact with a doctor .

I have had yeast infections before a long time ago, but it was never this painful before or had this much burning sensation accompanying it. Can i do both treatments at the same time? Treat for both the yeast infection and the potential cut? I really dont see a cut in that area but I know i did XXXXXXX myself because there was blood. Will the yeast infection treatment hurt anything if i do not have one but i do the course of treatment? Thanks.

In my opinion you should treat only yeast infection with three vaginal ovule like Kanesten or Gyno-pevaryl and two tablets of fluconazole each three days .
Infection of razor cut can be treated only by local creams,because if you will use more antibiotics ,yeast infection will aggravate.
