Brief Answer:
At this point you may benefit from oral medication

Detailed Answer:
Hello, and I hope I can help you today.

It generally takes 7 days to have complete symptom relief from a yeast infection regardless of type of cream or suppository you use. So even if you used a product for 5 days you should really wait a full week before using the treatment again.

Diabetes, because it leads to spillage of sugar into body fluids, makes it easier for yeast to grow and more difficult to treat. Oral medication like Fluconazole can be used when vaginal products are not working. In some countries you can purchase Fluconazole over the counter, in some you need a doctor's prescription. It is generally prescribed as a one time dose of 150 milligrams, which can be repeated of your symptoms do not resolve within a week.

So I recommend you try the pill treatment for the yeast which may be more effective. In the meantime,
controlling the sugar in your diet as well as following your doctor's recommendations will help to reduce your blood sugar and make you less succeptable to yeast infections.

I hope this information answers your question and that my advice was helpful. If you need anything further, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Best wishes, Dr. Brown
