Brief Answer:
She may have cervical spondylitis

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I have read this case history and I feel that your mother may had cervical spondylitis. In this condition there is fatigue of neck muscles and nerve pinching which causes neck pain. Throat infection may have increased her pain. IF she would be my patient I would recommend her following.
1.Avoid using very high pillow
2. Take Myospaz or Myoril tablet for neck pain
3. Soft neck collar for neck rest
4. Hot water fomentation
5. Voveron gel local application
Her antibiotics needs to be continued. If her neck pain increases further then she can get X ray and MRI of neck to confirm the diagnosis. Also keep a watch on her blood pressure as nasal bleeding can be due to high blood pressure.
I hope this answer will help you. Let me know if you want to ask any other question. Thanks and take care.

Thank You Doctor XXXXXXX XXXXXXX

Curious is the Myospaz and Myoril tablet a prescription medicine along with Voveron gel? I live in the US. Is the vovereron gel same as similar to Voltaren gel (diclofenac sodium tropical gel 1%) which mom has at home? In the meantime the internal medicine doctor gave her amoxicillin 150 mg for her throat infection and Naprosyn oral (ip190-500mg) for pain relief. In addition, mom has been having a dry cough for many year(s). Mom say 15 years. and is taking atenolol 100mg 2 times a day. along with the water pill H.T.C. 50 mg. Mom ask if these medicine(s) prescribed caused the painful or help contribute to last year's episode of Bells Palsy and the strong pain in the neck and upper back she experiences now. Also with triglycerides at 231, her internal medicine doctor put her on the pill Lopic. Does this contribute, she ask to the pain? Besides the high blood pressure that she takes addition medicine for control her blood pressure. ...could any of these medicine(s) be giving her side effects that cause the painful episode of incredible pain and was bed ridden for this last week. Mom is scheduled here to follow up with a second doctor who specializes in Otorhinolaryngology. Thank-you,
doctor

Brief Answer:
Myospaz or Myoril are muscle relxaxant

Detailed Answer:
Hello sir,
We can not give prescription as per rule of our site. Myospaz or Myoril are muscle relaxant medicines and help in neck muscle spasm. You can discuss with your general practitioner, and take these medicines. Voveran gel is similar to voletran gel.
As I told you she needs to continue antibiotic as throat infection can increase neck muscle pain.I do not think any of her medication is contributing to her pain.
I hope this answer will help you. Let me know if you have any other query.
Thanks and take care.
