Brief Answer:
Hormonal disturbance likely

Detailed Answer:
Hi dear,
I have gone through your question and understand the concerns.
Irregular periods are likely due to hormonal disturbance like hypothyroidism , hyperprolactinemia or polycystic ovarian syndrome.
I will suggest you to get your thyroid, prolactin hormone levels and ultrasound done to confirm the diagnosis and get treated accordingly.
Primolut N is the safe drug to induce the periods.
Periods can occur within 3-5 days of stopping the drug.
Hope you found the answer helpful.
