Brief Answer:
You should investigate for hemochromatosis.

Detailed Answer:
Hi, dear
I have gone through your question. I can understand your concern.
Diarrhoea is not the first manifestation, but it can be seen due to increase susceptibility to infection.
Cirrhosis of liver, bronze skin and diabetes are the classic symptoms.

You should check for s.feritine, transferin and livrr function test. If needed go for liver biopsy. If you have high iron load then you should take treatment of that.

Treatment is phlebotomy and desferoxamine. Just consult your doctor and take treatment accordingly.

Hope I have answered your question, if you have doubt then I will be happy to answer. Thanks for using health care magic. Wish you a very good health.

Brief Answer:
It is iron chelating agent.

Detailed Answer:
Hi, dear
I have gone through your question. I can understand your concern.
You are going for phlebotomy. It is treatment of choice to reduce iron overload.

Desferrioxamine is iron chelating agent. It neutralize the excess of iron and reduce the organ damage.

Liver is the most common organ affected by excess iron so regular liver function test should be done to check any damage. Consult your treating doctor and plan accordingly.
