Question: my prostrate measures 43*52*44mmswith volume51cc.i am 68 years old,i do not have any dificulty in normal urination. the rep0rt says no fluid in the abdomen my PSA IS 0.58 DO I NEED ANY TREATMENT

Thanks for your query,based on the facts that you have posted it appears that you have
I shall be happy if you can post me few more details to help me in making comments on your problem.
1) Do you have any urinary symptoms like increase frequency,urgency,nocturnal frequency ,poor stream etc?
2)What is the post void Urine volume reported in scan report?

The normal volume of prostate is 18-22 cc.Since your prostate volume is 51 cc you have to monitor symptom score frequently .

You can take combination of Tomsulosin and Dutasteride once daily .

This will help you to improve urine flow which is always weak with enlarged prostate and to reduce the size of the prostate .

If you do not have any symptoms ,may not take medications ..

You can repeat your scan after 6 months to know residual urine volume .

Your PSA is normal.

Start taking medicines whenever you get urinary symptoms .
