Suggest Treatment For Diarrhea After Switching From Prozac To Zoloft

default
Posted on Mon, 23 Jan 2017
Question: I switched from Prozac to zoloft after 10 years on Prozac. After a week I started with diarrea. My Np lowered dose but diarrea persisted. The no said stop it altogether and go back to low dose Prozac. It's been 5 days and I'm still experiencing terrible diarrea soon after each meal. Could the Zoloft still be causing this or is it something else?

Brief Answer:
Yes

Detailed Answer:
Hello, Thank you for posting your question on Health Care Magic.
Yes Zoloft does cause diarrhoea. It is better you taper it and shift back to prozac for depression.
If diarrhoea is more you can start using probiotics like sporolac or becelac .
Hydrate yourself adequately.
Hope this helps
Best wishes
