Suggest Treatment For Confusion And Fatigue

Question: I have been experiencing confusion, weakness in my hands and feet and lack of sleep. I have been sleeping two to three hours at a time with extended periods between sleep. I have been nervous and have experienced trouble concentrating and communicating.I recently had an eye exam for new glasses and the doctor said I had substantially more pressure in my right eye. I have an appointment with them tomorrow; however, this has been ongoing for a month now. Going to the bathroom has been difficult in both cases.

I have noted your clinical details. You require further evaluation. This would include a detailed neurological examination. In eye examination, was the eye pressure high (as in glaucoma) or the intracranial pressure was high (suggestive of brain disease). If the eye examination showed papilledema, then, it would suggest a brain problem. That would require doing a brain MRI. In addition, you should also get your thyroid profile checked up.

Stopping clonopin can cause withdrawal symptoms, however, we expect improvement over time.

thank you doctor. It was the eye pressure that the optomitrist noted was high. I have an appt with the optometrist tomorrow as well as a nurse practitioner. I have been a little reckless and have had many concussions in my life. All of them before it was realized how dangerous they can become. I received my most serious head trauma in 2000 when I wrecked my motorcycle and hit a concrete barrier head first. I received several staples and sutures in the hospital. There is a more concentrated pain over my right eye that seems to be right in the spot that my forehead hit the wall. I know this because of a very pronounced scar. I have also significantly reduced my caffeine intake as well as my smoking and sugar intake. is it possible that these symptoms are related to an acute anxiety attack?

Reducing caffeine intake is a good decision!

I agree that anxiety attack can cause all these symptoms, which has got aggravated by recent discontinuation of clonopin.
