Brief Answer:
Please do a thyroid function test

Detailed Answer:
Hi Mr XXXX,

Welcome to HCM. I have gone through the question and understand your concerns.

Snoring is seen in patients with untreated hypothyroidism and those with large Goiter. If your thyroid functions are normal and there is no thyroid swelling, then snoring is unrelated to that.

In usual case if snoring what we do is to do a thorough nasal examination to look for any polyps or deviation of nasal bridge. Throat examination by indirect laryngoscopy is next procedure. These tests are by ENT surgeon. If all these tests are normal, then a sleep study is done. This test is usually done by a pulmonolgist. The treatment depends on underlying cause.

Hope I have answered your questions. If you have any further queries I will be happy to help you.
