Question: For the past two weeks I have had a feeling of pressure in the top of my head. Additionally, I become a bit light headed and dizzy. I also get the feeling of being pushed down, like when you pull g's in an airplane. It happens when I am moving or standing. All of this comes and goes. It also feels like pressure when i come up from diving.

Brief Answer:
BPPV likely. Blood pressure + losartan can also cause it.

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for asking

I read your question and i understand your concern. Dizziness has multiple causes most of the self resolving and easily manageable. Hypertension itself causes dizziness so controlling that is first option. After that losartan you are on is also a cause of dizziness.

Your case of dizziness with position change is likely a BPPV and that needs to be confirmed. Seek an internist. If they confirmed it to be BPPV they will do some maneuvers for repositioning canalith (crystals in inner ear canals) and bring back from semicircular canals to vestibule where these crystals are resorbed by otoliths and don't cause problem. So it may need a few canalith repositioning maneuvers before BPPV settles. Dizziness though may prevail for a while some time upto 6 weeks. Meanwhile following home remedies are advised.
-Be aware of the possibility of losing your balance, which can lead to falling and serious injury.
-Sit down immediately when you feel dizzy.
-Use good lighting if you get up at night.
-Walk with a cane for stability if you're at risk of falling.
-Work closely with your doctor to manage your symptoms effectively

talk to your otorhinolaryngologist and let them decide what is best for you. I hope it helps. take good care of yourself and don't forget to close the discussion please.

Khan
