Brief Answer:
Nothing is expected

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thank you for the query.

I do not see a reason to panic if a child receives two doses of polio drops just immediately within a gap of two days.
Nothing should happen to the child. The polio drops contain live virus and the virus will be killed and shed via stool. In fact multiple doses are better to give maximum protection as it strengthens the immunity of the child. The virus is infact killed in the stomach, left over go down the stool and spread by air and attaches others. This is called herd immunity and this is how mass vaccinations are given. Each additional dose further strengthens a child’s immunity level against polio.
A very rare side effect could be diarrhoea which should resolve on its own.

Watch your baby for next two days.
