Is Pregnancy Possible Through Withdrawal Method?

default
Posted on Wed, 23 Sep 2015
Question: Hello
My last period started on the 17th of August and I took an emergency contraceptive on the 26th. On the 31st I had what seemed like a full period, but I understand that it could be withdrawal bleeding? This bleeding ended on the 4th of September. Yesterday (6th Sept) I had unprotected sex but he did not ejaculate inside me. Even so I am quite worried. What are my risks of falling pregnant? Should I take another emergency contraceptive pill and will that cause damage because I'm taking it too often?

Brief Answer:
You should take I-pill.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for trusting us with your health concern.
6th September is not your fertile period but a pregnancy due to precum cannot be ruled out. The chances of pregnancy are less than 10%. To be very sure it is best to take another I-pill. Taking the pill frequently will cause an irregular bleeding and delay in your next periods. It is best to start with a regular contraceptive from your next cycle.
