Question: Hi my obgyn last month (im 39) said i could wait a few years for mamogram. I had one mamo at age 31. going to have a mamogram done next week assigned by my plastic surgeon. I am considering breast augmentation. Is this mamo dangerous for me? Is that why my obgyn wanted me to wait? Please help.

Brief Answer:
Not harmful

Detailed Answer:
Hi dear,
I have gone through your question and understand your concerns.
Mammogram is not harmful at this age, rather it is advisable after 40 years of age.
This is the reason why your OBGYN has advised you to delay it for a few years.
There is no another reason.
