What Causes Redness And Swelling Around The Breasts After Augmentation?
Question: I was recently given a breast augmentation to remove the old ones and processed . Everything was fine and I kept applying neosporin. as insstructed. while I was changing bandages tonight and , I realized that one breast was swollen and really red around all around the bottom with some pain.. The nipples were moved upward hence the redness and hot . I am concerned over what's going on with my breast swollen and how it will do. Hi and welcome. It would be really helpful if you can post a photo. You can simply upload/attach them at the reports section.
This sounds to me like possible seroma or implant infection and you should have antibiotics orally and breast ultrasound done to see if there is fluid accumulation around the implant. In most cases it can be treated with puncturing the collection and antibiotics and rarely, implant removal is required.
