Is A Burning Rash On Buttocks Post Oral Sex A Symptom Of STD?

Question: I recently started dating my boyfriend 4.5 months ago. We've both been tested (him last May and me in December) and they came back negative. We're in a monogamous relationship. We just started getting physical with each other about 5 weeks ago and have engaged in unprotected oral sex 3 times.

Two weeks ago, I developed a rash on my buttcrack. I wasn't experienced any itching, burning or pain when urinating but I got scared. After suffering in silence, I went after iut scabbed up to the ER and was diagnosed with infitaigo-- a result of shaving too close with a dull razor and no shaving cream and wearing a tight thong and even tighter pants. I was given a cream to put on the rash.

Now, the rash is about 80/90% gone. However, I notice that it burns just a tad when I put the cream on the rest of the scab. It's not unbearable but I still feel it. I feel like I'm just hyperaware of my body down there because I was so scared. Still no outrageous itching -- other than my pubic hair growing back. This ordeal has me scared to shave. No burning or sores. The slight burning on the scab just worries me.

Is the burning normal for a healing scab?

Brief Answer:
It is quite expected

Detailed Answer:
Hello. Thank you for writing to us.

I am dr.kakkar(dermatologist). I have gone through your query and i have noted your concern

yes. It is not abnormal if you notice a slight burning sensation immediately after putting cream. This is because of the sensitive new skin beneath the scab.
