How To Confirm That Abortion Is Complete?

default
Posted on Mon, 30 Mar 2015
Question: I am doing fine. I have 7 more pills (the sugar ones) from my pack I had to restart in Feb. It is a mental thing, but I still have concerns for pregnancy. I really think it is mental. I haven't had intercourse since XXXXXXX 30. My recent test was negative. I guess I need you to tell me to stop worrying. I have always known when my period will start, and since restarting my new pack, I can only guess when I'll start in March. thank you!!

Brief Answer:
you are not pregnant...explained...

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for the direct query through HCM,

As you have started on a fresh pack of TRIVORA from february after a withdrawal bleed and now already in your sugar pill week , then it is unlikely that you would be pregnant. The reasons are manifold as i shall explain:-
1. Firstly you didn't have any intercourse since XXXXXXX 30 2015 and then had a withdrawal bleed after that where the old endometrial lining of the uterus was shed , ending that cycle completely and ruling out any pregnancy.
2. TRIVORA prevents ovulation during the cycle , when taken regularly and on time , and in absence of any ovulation there is no chance of fertilisation during this cycle even if you had unprotected sex.
3. Thirdly as you said that your pregnancy test is negative ( serum beta hcg i hope as urine pre test is likely to give false result before menses).

So keeping all in perspective , you should be sure that you are not pregnant. As you are into the sugar pill week now , you can get your withdrawal bleed within these 7 days and this shall further confirm that there had been no pregnancy what so ever.
I hope i have been able to allay your anxiety and relieve your concerns about pregnancy,
Wishing you good health,
Regards

Thank you! I only have one more comment. I started my new pack on Feb. 15. My withdrawal bleed started on Feb. 16. Is that ok?

Brief Answer:
It is ok....:), but a suggestion to you....read up pls..

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for the follow up,.

As the recent pregnancy test was negative , so if you started on feb 15 and you had your previous cycle's withdrawal on feb 16th , its fine and you shall stand protected for this cycle. During the next cycle hence, wait for the withdrawal bleed to start and keep it a dictum that you would start the fresh pack again from day 2 of the withdrawal bleed so forth. It shall become simpler and avoid any confusion as well. Always wait for bleeding to start before taking to the next fresh pack.
I hope i have answered your query,
Regards

I started my new pack on Feb. 15. Is withdrawal bleeding the same as break through bleeding?

Brief Answer:
explained

Detailed Answer:
No withdrawal bleeding is when the progesterone withdrawal occurs during sugar pills or at the onset of menses.
But breakthrough bleeding is usually in the middle of the cycle during ovulation phase where progesterone levels are about to rise after a lh surge.
they both are different.

Detailed Answer:
hello,
From your history i remember that you had missed 4 pills earlier and after stoppage you had your withdrawal bleed and a fresh cycle started from feb 16th. sO IT WAS NOT A BREAKTHROUGH BLEEDING.
Overall YOU ARE FINE AND PROTECTED , but it better that you go through your sugar pill week and wait for the menses to start again. You should be safe.
