Hello and thanks for the query,

An irregular heart beat is always something which should be examined in detail. Generally we might consider having a patient wear a monitor for 1 or 2 days which follows the actual heart rhythm to see the exact abnormality. This may help your doctors decide if an intervention is needed such as a procedure or change in medication.

I am concerned that you have chest pain and SOB at rest. This is something which should be evaluated by an internist or cardiologist to see if optimizing your medication regimen will lead to good symptomatic improvement.

The heart rate may also be affected by thyroid function. Perhaps a screening thyroid panel may be done to make sure your dosage of thyroid medication is appropriate.

Thanks again for sending the query. Please review your symptoms with your physician.
