Hi XXXXX
Thanks for writing in to us.

The sensory touch and temperature perceptions in our body are appreciated through a network of nerve supply. The skin on our body surface is divided into dermatomes, each dermatome being supplied by a nerve root. From your symptoms, the sensory and temperature perception abnormalities need to be assessed as per the areas involved as described by you. The nerve roots have origin in the spinal cord at various levels. It is also important to know the onset and progress of your symptoms. Any preceding medical illness, surgical procedure or traumatic injury to spine needs to be considered.

Consultation with a neurologist and a complete neurological clinical examination is required before coming to a probable diagnosis. Imaging of the brain and spinal cord (MRI scans) also may be necessary as per the outcomes of your clinical exam.

Since you have had Bell's palsy, your past medical records also need to be followed up with in detail.

I hope this answers your question,
