Can PepZin GI Be Taken During Pregnancy?

Question: Hi, I have gastritis and feel great since I took Dr best' penzin gi (zinc l-carnosine ). I am 5 weeks pregnant. Is it safe to take it? Many thanks

Thanks for the query ,
Though it is not been proven to be safe in pregnancy as these are supplements and no isolated studies have been done over it. You can use ranitidine or omeprazole tabs safely in pregnancy for gastritis if its uncontrollable.
It would be best to avoid pension-gi. At 5 weeks you should be taking prenatal vitamins along with folic acid tab ( this is required till 14 weeks to prevent any form of congenital malformations in the foetus during the organ building weeks).
