Brief Answer:
No need to worry

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for asking on HCM.

Hepatitis B virus does not spread through kissing. So you need not worry about it if you have kissed your wife's lips despite having open mouth sores.

She is not going to be infected with hepatitis B with it.

No need to worry. She may take her second dose of vaccine.

Brief Answer:
2 doses are effective.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for the immediate response.

First, there is very very rare chance of getting HBV infection by kissing.

Also, immunity starts with the first dose itself as your wife had taken the first dose before 30 days.

2 total doses will give 80 to 90% immunity but it would be advisable to take 3rd dose of HBV after 6 months of first dose for full protection.

Brief Answer:
Hepatitis b virus may get cleared spontaneously.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for the reply.

In 90% of people with positive HBsAg, virus remains in silent phase but in remaining 5% this may progress to affect on liver and may cause liver disease.

So, monitoring of your liver function tests are required once in every 6 months.

Your question is when you are going to free from Hepatitis B infection and the answer could be yes, since some people because of their immunity spontaneously clear the virus from the body within 6 to 8 months and some may remain infected throughout their life silently without showing any symptoms.

You may recheck the tests for hepatitis B after 3 to 4 months along with liver function tests.
