Brief Answer:
It can be given with these drugs cautiously

Detailed Answer:
Hi, thanks for your query.

Forskolin is not well researched molecule. It is a herbal medicine and derived from Herbs. It has been found to interact with drugs metabolized by CYP3A enzymes of liver. Whether or not there is significant interaction between this herbal drug and other medication is not clear. found out.

But some of the drugs you are taking are metabolized by the same liver enzymes. Therefore there can be increase or decrease activity of particular drug in the body. I wouldn't encourage my patients to take them while on list of drugs similar to yours.

May I know what is / was the indication to take forskolin? Do visit your prescribing physician and discuss about my opinion. Do not take it blindly.

Hope I have cleared your doubts. If you have any further query Feel free to ask..wishing you a good health..

I only take the lowest dose of Ziac, Protonix 40 mg, Aplenzin 522 mg, Saphris 15 mg po at nighttime and Lunesta 3 mg at nighttime. And do you still think it will be ok to take the Forskolin for weight loss?

Brief Answer:
You can go for strict diet and exercise

Detailed Answer:
Hi, Thanks for writing again.

For, weight loss forskolin is not FDA approved drug. You can go for it, if you want to, but only after discussion with your doctor.

The dose of aplezin is really high. Saphris can cause weight gain, if possible discuss with your prescribing psychiatrist for Ablify [aripiprazole, it can control your weight]
saphris has very high interaction with other drugs.

I wouldn't suggest my patient to take forskolin for weight loss, it is risky to take new herbal medicine particularly when it is not well researched.

Hope I have cleared your doubts. wishing you a good health.
