Can Avil Be Taken For Allergy While Breast Feeding?

Question: My daughter issix months old and i am breast feeding her, now i had skin allergy can i take avil-25

All anti allergic medications like avil etc are not completely safe during breast feeding. They fall in category B means it's not totally harmful also. You may take if you are having allergy .

Since your daughter is 6 months old and can take top feed for some days , I suggest you to start on avil till your allergy reduces and don't breast feed till then.

You may give top feed for few days. It's safe. After 2 days of stopping avil you may start again breast feeding .

For skin allergy avil is good drug which reduce allergy efficiently. I suggest you to start on avil-25 and if in 2 to 3 days you won't feel allergy is reducing then you may consult your doctor and start on low dose steroids.

because of that avil-25 baby wont get side effects right by breast feeding milk.

You need to stop breast feeding till you take anti allergy tablets. Because all these drugs can be secreted in breast feeding.

There are no anti allergic drugs which are totally safe in pregnancy. Comparatively safe is avil . So start with avil. stop breast feeding for few days.

I also suggest you apply Lactocalamine lotion over the body.
