Question: Hello Doctor,
I was diagnosed with PCOD in March 2015 when i missed my periods for 2 months. I only got my period when i was advised to take meprate 10mg 2 tabs for 3 days. This continued for upto october 2015. From november 2015 i am having my regular periods but unable to conceive. In july 2016 again i missed my period with weakely positive urine hpt. Doc then advised to take goodova 100mg from 2nd day to 6th day of cycle and progynova from 7th to 11th day of cycle for one month. Now periods are regular with cycle length of 35 days .i am on metformin 500mg tab twice a day and duphaston from 11th day to 25th day of cycle and ovacet and ASA for 30 days.
Will these medicines help me to conceive ?

Brief Answer:
Follicular growth scan required

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

I understand your concerns.

These medicines alone are of no use for you to conceive.

You need to undergo regular follicular growth scan to assess the egg development and best days to try for pregnancy.

You should also get your husband's semen analysis done.

You consider IUI ( intrauterine insemination) done to increase the chances of pregnancy.

Let me know if you need anymore help.
