Hello, Thanks for writing to us. Are you under any medication currently? The the swollen tongue may be caused due to-papillary hyperplasia,depapillation of tongue,antibiotic sensitivity,allergic foods,traumatic injury. I would advice you to get a thorough clinical evaluation by an oral pathologist. Meanwhile,maintain oral hygiene well. Avoid spicy ,allergic foods. Take vitamin becosules.

Since there is no history of allergy, your husband could have bitten the tongue at night. It may not be due to allergies. The stomach upset could be temporary and coincidental symptom. You can take temporary over the counter tablets for its relief.
