Thank you for query.Usually once positive for HBSAg will remain infected for life.but majority are asymptomatic and do not get any disease/hardly 1 to 10% may get some manifestations.You can be infective to others.you can consult gastroenterologist for further tests if required.

Hi nd sorry to hear about this. It means you have this infection. It is active and you can contaminate others. remember Hepatitis B is mainly spread through blood contacts and sex. Consult a hepatologist to get treated if it becomes chronic to avoid complications. I wish you well. Dr. Ditah, MD.
