hi you need to be examined with abdominal ultrasound to rule out gallbladder problems. wishing you fast recovery

doctor1 MD

I am wondering if it is your right or left shoulder. If it is your right shoulder, this may be pain that has been referred from your gallbladder. If you have pain here after eating, you may have a problem with your gallbladder. The next step would be to have an ultrasound of your gallbladder.

doctor1 MD

The gallbladder is not removed unless it's causing a problem. If stones have collected in the gallbladder and are causing pain or a blockage, then surgery is done. Also, if there is a bad infection in the gallbladder, it may need to be removed. If a tumor is growing there, surgery would be necessary. Hope this answers your query.
