tobacco chewing causes decrease in mouth opening and unfortunately it is difficult problem to treat. First of all stopped tobacco now. You may need to see a plastic surgeon who will apply injection in your mouth which decrease tightening of mouth. Surgical option is also available if there are tight band in mouth.

It may be . In fact you are remembering it. Since you have left tobacco, now do not start this. You can visit an ENT Surgeon to confirm your problem that there is nothing serious, take Vitamin A and D and multivitamins. Rinse the mouth with plain water , take plenty or oral fluids, avoid too hot and too cold foods and beverages and you will be fine.
