It could be nappy rash due to the moisture in the diaper

doctor1 MD

I am not sure if its a nappy rash. Nappy rashes are localised to the buttocks and in relation to diapers. if it then avoid using diapers for some time. Dry the area clean and apply a layer of moisturizer or other diaper rash creams. Unless its very red and sore (excessively crying) it should heal soon. Regards

Try diapers which will absorb moisture and leave the skin dry. Nappy rash happens due to wet nappies which are not changed frequently. Change nappies frequently or use diapers and dust some baby talcum powder while changing. This will ensure the baby's skin remains dry and does no develop any rash. Apply some aloe vera gel to the rash and leave it open till the gel dries up. Hope this will help.
